Liam Scales has capped off a memorable week after being called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for the first time.
The defender joined Celtic late last week after impressive performances for Shamrock Rovers and was handed the No. 5 shirt, hinting at him being a regular member of Ange Postecoglou's squad.
And now he's been called up to the Ireland squad for their clash with Azerbaijan this weekend and Serbia on Tuesday night.
It's a huge boost for the Hoops new boy, who has developed into one of Ireland's most highly-rated young players over the last couple of seasons.
The relatively inexperienced defender has played for Ireland U21s but Stephen Kenny has decided to include him in the full squad for the first time.
He could make his debut in one of the two games over the next few days, with Dara O’Shea and Nathan Collins both pulling out of the squad.
Scales is yet to play for the Celtic Park club after his move but could return to training with a spring in his step if he makes his international debut in the coming week.
With Greg Taylor injured and Croatian right back Josip Juranovic filling in at left back in last weekend's Old Firm defeat, Scales could go straight into the side.
