After unexpectedly getting rave reviews from every single venue he's performed on his world tour so far, this Friday Brit rock legend Liam Gallagher will finally step foot in Bangkok to bring the house down for the first time in 12 years.
Thanks to concert organisers The Very Company and Numero Group, the entertainingly outspoken and erratic British rocker will be performing at BITEC Bangna's Hall 106 from 9pm onwards. Sure enough he'll be playing megahits from Oasis like Wonderwall, Stand By Me and Morning Glory, along with latest hits from his debut solo album As You Were.
Gallagher is known for being the tambourine wielding frontman of British rock band Oasis alongside his songwriter brother (and number one enemy) Noel. Their albums Definitely Maybe (1994), (What's The Story) Morning Glory (1995) and The Masterplan (1998) defined the sound of the 90s Britpop movement. After his brother Noel left Oasis in an explosive break-up in 2009, Liam formed rock band Beady Eye with the remaining members, splitting up again in 2014.
With the rocker constantly saying that he'll never have a solo career, Gallagher's latest album, as a solo artist, came as a pleasant surprise -- topping the UK charts with his new singles like Chinatown and Wall Of Glass. To top it off, the rocker beat out Ed Sheeran for the Q Award's "Best Live Act 2017".
Though we might not ever see Oasis perform as a full band again, this may be the closest opportunity yet.
Doors open at 8pm and the concert starts at 9pm. Regular tickets are 3,600 baht, VIP tickets 4,600 baht and Super VIP Lounge tickets 6,000 baht. Visit ticketmelon.com/event/LiamGallagher.
