Liam Rosenior back in France as he lands first manager’s job since Chelsea sacking

  • Liam Rosenior has been appointed as the new head coach of French Ligue 1 side Paris FC, signing a two-year contract.
  • This marks a swift return to football for Rosenior, who was sacked by Chelsea in April after a challenging 106-day tenure.
  • During his brief spell at Stamford Bridge, he managed only 11 wins in 23 matches, with a promising start quickly unravelling into five successive league defeats.
  • Prior to Chelsea, Rosenior had a successful period at Strasbourg, guiding them to a seventh-place finish in Ligue 1 and European qualification for the first time in eight years.
  • Paris FC's sporting director stated that Rosenior's modern coaching style, tactical skills, and ability to unite a group align with the club's philosophy, despite previous coach Antoine Kombouare successfully avoiding relegation.
