Liam Payne 'teams up with Ed Sheeran' to revive solo comeback after chart fail

Liam Payne is said to have enlisted the help of hitmaker Ed Sheeran to ensure his next song is a success.

The former One Direction star has reportedly teamed up with the singer-songwriter for comeback track Stack It Up after his last single failed to make it into the charts.

Liam, 25, last worked with Ed on his debut solo single Strip That Down and has been hitting the studio with him again recently.

His new song, set to be released later this month, is a collaboration with little known American rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie.

It'll be his first solo single since 2018's First Time, a collaboration with French Montana that failed to make an impact in the UK charts.

A source told the Daily Star : "Liam and Ed have teamed up again on his new song after the success of Strip That Down, it's called Stack It Up.

"Like with his debut single, the song is produced by Steve Mac.

"The video was shot in June and fans will be able to hear it by the end of August."

As well as becoming one of the UK's most successful recording artists, Ed has written a host of hit songs for other singers.
