Liam Payne has sent a thoughtful message to new dad Zayn Malik following the birth of his baby girl.
The Strip That Down superstar, 26, who is a father himself to son Bear with ex Cheryl, reached out to Zayn after news broke that the Pillow Talk singer's model girlfriend Gigi Hadid had given birth.
Liam addressed the couples baby news during his latest Instagram live and sent the new parents a kind message.
As he spoke to his fans, he said: "Oh yeah, congratulations Zayn and Gigi.
"Very lovely news to have this morning – starting a family."
Last year Liam - who was in 1D with Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan and Zayn - appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV, where he spoke about his relationship with his former bandmates.
Talking about his relationship with the rest of the former members, he said: “I speak to Niall [Horan] every so often.
"I haven’t spoken to Harry [Styles] in a long time now.
He then went on to speak about Zayn - who spectacularly quit the boy group in 2015, partway through the supergroup's world tour.
"Zayn left so I haven’t seen him since then… I always feel like Zayn didn’t really feel being there, if that makes sense", Liam told.
"We all had a good time, there were moments when it was absolute bliss but then obviously there were moments where it was like, ‘This is awful.’
"For him I just think there were more moments where he didn’t really enjoy what he was doing. Fair play to him, he went off and did his own thing and he’s doing really well.”
Liam’s olive branch message comes after he sent Zayn and Gigi well wishes when the supermodel announced her pregnancy back in April.
Louis Tomlinson also decided to bury the hatchet today as the first One Direction member to publicly support Zayn by dropping a like on his baby news Instagram photo.
Zayn announced the exciting news of his and Gigi’s little bundle of joy’s arrival on social media in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Taking to Twitter, the new father wrote: "Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful. To try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task.
"The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x"
