Liam Payne and Cheryl may have broken up but that doesn't mean they have to be on bad terms.
And the former One Direction singer, 26, has sung his 36-year-old ex's praises, saying she is "super understanding".
He also bigged up her mothering skills of their two-year-old son Bear, saying she takes "great care" of the toddler.
Speaking in British Vogue's In The Bag YouTube series, Liam said: "If I could fit one person in my bag, it would have to be my son.
"It's hard being out on the road and missing him, working away as much as I do."
Liam then said that while he does miss out on the "little moments" with Bear, he knows his son is in good hands with his mum.
He continued: "His mum's super understanding with me, she takes great care of him.
"I always know he's really well looked after.
"It's just the little moments you miss out on sometimes that I'd love to be there for more."
Liam is reportedly giving his full support to Cheryl's rumoured plans to use a sperm donor to have another baby.
"He gave Cheryl his full blessing – insisting he’d support her however he could and making her feel at ease with her decision by letting her know they’d be one big blended family," the source told New magazine.
They added: "Cheryl’s come to peace with the decision to find a sperm donor and she’s desperate to fall pregnant with twins – insisting that given she wants two more children, it will be far easier to do it once than go through the process again down the line."
Liam and Cheryl dated from 2016 to 2018.
He has since moved on with 19-year-old model Maya Henry.
