Liam Payne 'meets producers' as he hopes to follow Louis Tomlinson and make documentary

Liam Payne has reportedly met up with producers to create a documentary about his rollercoaster life.

The One Direction star is believed to have been inspired by former bandmate Louis Tomlinson, who recently released his own documentary.

In Louis' All of Those Voices documentary, he spoke candidly about his experience with the group as well as how he dealt with fame.

Liam was the only one of Louis' former bandmates to attend the premiere of the documentary.

And now, it has been reported that Liam's attendance at the event has 'solidified' his plans to produce a documentary about his own life.

A source claimed: "Liam has debated the idea of doing a film for a while and has been self documenting his career ever since his One Direction days.

“Going to Louis’ premiere in March really solidified the plan in his head."

They continued to The Sun : "Last week he quietly held a few meetings with production companies in London about the project to see what they could do."

According to the source, it is thought that the documentary could end up on Prime Video or Netflix.

Liam, who struggled with drugs and booze over the years, feels like it could 'set the record straight'.

Mirror have contacted Liam's representatives for comment.

One Direction were launched to global stardom in 2010 after Liam, Louis, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan were placed together on The X-Factor, despite auditioning as solo artists.

They all pursued solo careers, with Harry thanking his former bandmates at the BRITs, where he took home a stack of awards, sending fans wild.

Meanwhile, Liam recently took to Instagram to share what appeared to be a promotional poster for a boxing match between himself and Love Island star Tommy Fury.

Liam, who shares son Bear with ex Cheryl, uploaded the image with an eyeball emoji as a caption - leaving fans baffled by the Instagram update.

The poster shows Liam and Molly-Mae Hague's boyfriend facing off and reveals Old Trafford, Manchester will be the location for whatever the two stars are planning to be involved in.

"This summer. Announcement tomorrow," the poster teased.
