Liam Neeson spotted in Barcelona filming new movie 'Marlowe'

Liam Neeson has been spotted filming a new movie in Barcelona.

The actor from Ballymena visited Manresa on November 25 to shoot for 'Marlowe'.

It is based on the 2014 novel 'The Black-Eyed Blonde' by John Banville and stars the 69-year-old as fictional character Philip Marlowe, a tough detective.

Describing the movie directed by Neil Jordan, IMDb said: "As bad business and loneliness is taking its toll on private detective Philip Marlowe, a beautiful blonde arrives and asks him to find her ex-lover, which proves to be just a small part in a bigger mystery."

Diane Kruger stars as Clare Cavendish and Danny Huston as Floyd Hanson, with the project being revealed back in 2017.

It was recently revealed that Liam Neeson is also set to star in a new thriller set in Ireland.

According to Deadline, he will take a lead role in new film, 'In The Land Of Saints And Sinners'.

It's reported principal photography is being lined up for March 2022 in Ireland with Belfast actor Ciarán Hinds also starring in the thriller.

The movie is set in a remote Irish village, with Neeson playing 'a newly retired assassin who finds himself drawn into a lethal game of cat and mouse with a trio of vengeful terrorists'.
