Liam Neeson is set to star in an upcoming action film, Blacklight.
The Northern Irish actor plays Travis Block, "a shadowy Government agent who specializes in removing operatives who's covers have been exposed, uncovers a deadly conspiracy within his own ranks that reaches the highest echelons of power", according to IMDB.
Filming began in 2020 in Melbourne, Australia, with the movie being directed by Mark Williams.
It due for release on February 11, 2022 in the US, with a release date for UK and Ireland not yet confirmed.
Alongside Neeson, the film also stars Aidan Quinn, Emmy Raver-Lampman and Taylor John Smith.
Deadline described Travis Block as "a troubled, off-the-books fixer for the FBI who is tasked with pulling undercover agents out of dangerous situations."
In Neeson's most recent movie The Marksman (2021) he plays Jim Hanson, a retired Marine.
He lives on the Mexican border and tries to save a mother and son as they are being hunted by a cartel.
And in 2020 film Honest Thief, the star plays a professional bank robber who agrees to return money he stole to get a reduced sentence.
