Liam Morrison hands-off warning as Celtic boss Neil Lennon insists Bayern Munich target isn't for sale

Neil Lennon has told Bayern Munich to not bother making a move for Celtic kid Liam Morrison.

The Bundesliga champions have been credited with an interest in the 16-year-old centre-back. Hoffenheim have also been linked with a move for the Scotland youth international.

But Lennon issued a clear hands-off warning and is targeting an extended Celtic stay for the rising star.

The Hoops boss said: "That’s not going to happen.

"There is interest from Germany but Liam’s our player and we want to develop him.

"We're not accepting any – or are open to any – offers for him. I think we’re un negotiations over a new contract."

Morrison is highly-regarded and is regarded as one of the most promising talents to emerge from Scotland in recent years.

Fellow youngsters Armstrong Oko-Flex and Karamoko Dembele have forced their way into Lennon's thinking and Morrison is currently with the first team during their pre-season training camp in Switzerland.

Celtic face St Gallen on Tuesday night as the Hoops put the finishing touches on preparations ahead of their Champions League opener against Sarajevo.
