Liam Kelly a target for Mark Warburton as QPR boss eyes reunion with former Rangers keeper

Queen’s Park Rangers are lining up a shock swoop for Scotland keeper Liam Kelly.

The Livingston No.1 is going into the final year of his contract and has a reduced, relegation release clause.

QPR boss Mark Warburton is aware of Kelly’s situation and is set to make his move.

The Championship outfit have Joe Lumley and Matt Ingram but Warburton wants another keeper and one who is comfortable with the ball at their feet.

Kelly fits the bill and is a shot-stopper Warburton knows all about having working with him at Rangers.

The 23-year-old has since moved on and made his name at Livingston.

He helped them win promotion from League One and has since gone back and helped establish them back in the Premiership.

Kelly’s form has been rewarded as he was called up for the last Scotland Euro 2020 double-header against Kazakstan and San Marino.

He has retained his spot under new boss Steve Clarke for the next qualifiers against Cyprus and Belgium.
