Liam Gallagher will make Peaky Blinders appearance - but you won't see him on screen

Some Might Say he’d be a perfect fit among the hellraising Shelby screen clan.

But I can reveal it’ll be Liam Gallagher’s voice that makes a star turn on Peaky Blinders.

The Wonderwarbler is set to lend his dulcet Manc tones to the Brummie crime hit.

Liam, who turned 47 yesterday, exclusively tells me he’s set to record a track for the next series of the BBC drama, starring Cillian Murphy.

Surprisingly his old band Oasis have never had a track included in the show, which has so far managed to find room for hits by fellow indie royalty Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead and The White Stripes.

Liam Gallagher exclusively shared his musical plans with the Sunday Mirror (Wayne Starr)

So it’ll be all the sweeter for Liam – who is feuding with ex-bandmate brother Noel – for one of his solo efforts to make the cut.

In an exclusive chat with Watts the Goss, Liam lets slip: “We might be doing a song for the next series.

"That’s looking like it will happen.” But he doesn’t fancy a screen role.

Noel Gallagher gives sweary interview about his brother Liam

He tells me: “I met the guy the other day who writes it, and I said, ‘I don’t really want to be in it because I’m not an actor’. And them actors are f***ing good.

“If he was to offer me a part it would have to be a small part – just having a drink maybe in that pub, with a hat on.

“I know I would be able to pull it off. I’m just not sure about the acting – their acting is amazing.

Peaky Blinders follows the life of Brummie crook Tommy Shelby (BBC)

“I could sit there in the bar and be a moody ****, shoot some ******. Just as long as I don’t have to speak too much.”

Let your music do the talking, Liam!
