Liam Gallagher vs Kaiser Chiefs: Oasis singer takes aim at band with expletive-ridden tweets

Liam Gallagher has taken a break from feuding with his brother, using his time to row with the Kaiser Chiefs instead.

The 46-year-old singer labelled the band “naff c**ts” in a string of tweets, after the band called him out for pulling out of a festival.

Gallagher had been due to perform at the Fall In Love event in Romania earlier this month but cancelled over safety fears.

Kaiser Chiefs performed shortly before the former Oasis singer’s planned slot and the band’s keyboardist, Nick “Peanut” Baines, questioned Gallagher’s decision to cancel.

“If we found out a stage wasn’t safe, we’d tell the other bands on there too, right? ‘Safety comes first as always’ - for everyone,” he tweeted. “We must’ve broken it by putting on a rock n roll show 30mins before you.”

Replying nine days after Baines posted his message, Gallagher wrote on Wednesday: “This 1s for P***FLAP out of the KAISER CHEIFS all that money you spend on props ie your daft looking head I’d spend on getting yourself a decent tour manager who spots these kind of things otherwise you and your band will be going for a early bath LG x.” [sic]

Not quite finished, he added: “Ps it’s naff c**ts like you that give Leeds a bad name as you were LG x.”

As you were, indeed.

Kaiser Chiefs are yet to respond to Gallagher’s comments.

The former Oasis frontman is a frequent Twitter user, despite the fact he does not follow anyone on the site.

He often uses his account to take a swipe at brother Noel, 52.

Earlier this week, he slammed his older sibling for complaining about young concert-goers who want to hear Oasis tracks.

“The thing I’ve got a problem with about slagging of the yoot is that some of those kids are the kids of people who made us from day 1,” he said. “Your all welcome at my gigs bring your grandparents your auntys your uncles bring your pets as you were why me why not LG x.” [sic]
