Liam Gallagher takes aim at Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville with new nickname for Sky duo

Liam Gallagher has taken aim at Sky Sports duo Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville - revealing new nicknames for the pair.

On Monday Night Football's coverage of Leicester City's victory over Nottingham Forest, Manchester City star Erling Haaland was a topic of discussion. The Norway international scored his third hat-trick in the league this season as the Premier League champions comfortably beat rivals Manchester City 6-3 over the weekend.

“He’s one of those players that I would say if you get an opportunity as a football fan to get a ticket in the ground where he's playing. Go and watch him,” Neville said. "You could go watch Ronaldo go and watch Messi go watch something that's just completely you know, it's like a one-off type opportunity to watch a player and that's what Erling Harland is. He is exceptional.”

Carragher also said: "It feels like anything is possible with Haaland. It is a derby and there aren’t many hat-tricks in this fixture. It felt like a signing for the PL, he is everyone’s signing, not just City.

"We normally develop world class players, they don’t arrive here. We’ve got one now."

Gallagher, though, seemingly wasn't impressed with the comments as he took aim at the pair on social media. He tweeted: "Man City have signed Erling Haaland, he’s ours not the Premier League's. So what’s all this 'WE' snizzle coming out of Bert and Ernie's traps on Monday Night Football. Bumbaclarts."

This isn't the first time the musician has taken a dig at the Sky Sports pair, as he previously hit out at them on social media after City's title win earlier this year.

He tweeted an x-rated message back in May: “And now I’m gonna cancel my subscription of scousesports as there the most biased ****s in the world MCFC CHAMPIONS GOODBYE LG x.”

City currently sit second in the table behind Arsenal, but Haaland has played an integral role already in their campaign. In just 11 appearances so far in all competitions, the 22-year-old has already scored 17 goals, 14 of which have come in the league.
