Liam Gallagher snubbed in Oasis reunion as brother Noel records new album without him

Liam Gallagher has been snubbed by Oasis as the band are set to release a brand new album without him.

Noel Gallagher, 53, revealed he is eager to record new music of 14 unreleased songs by the former band which split 12 years ago.

But he plans to release the new album without the signature vocals of his brother Liam, 48, as their public long-running feud continues.

The brothers have not released a song together in more than a decade, with the pair trading insults ever since Oasis split at their final concert in Paris in 2009 after a backstage bust-up.

Noel spilled details about the upcoming project of unreleased Oasis songs and told The Sun : "I've listed the proper songs and there were 14. They just fell by the wayside of various projects from down the years.

"I'm going to record them. Some are quite old school."

"I was looking at the track listing and thinking, 'Actually, f**king hell, no I'd approach that song differently'.

"It's been very interesting."

The brothers have been enemies since 2009, and it doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon after Noel revealed he is doing the album with or without his sibling.

Noel quit the band after falling out with his brother and the duo quickly went their separate ways and their infamous decade-long feud has been running ever since.

Noel released a statement at the time which read: "It is with some sadness and great relief... I quit Oasis tonight.

"People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."

They have both continued with music, with Noel becoming the frontman of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, while Liam went on to pursue a solo career.

The public are still waiting for the brothers to make up and have high hopes it will be soon.

Liam speculated a reunion on New Year as he extended an olive branch as the clock struck midnight on 2021.

He posted on Twitter : "Happy New Year Noel love you long time 2021 is our year c'mon you know."

Noel has yet to respond to the reconciliation tweet.

Speaking on Chris Evans' breakfast show last year, Liam insisted a reunion with his brother was "gonna happen".

He said: "I'd do it for nothing. There were talks about it but his camp knocked it on the head.

"It's gonna happen, trust me."

Dig Out Your Soul was the last album released by Oasis in 2008, and it sailed straight to the top of the charts.
