Liam Gallagher's typically Liam comments on the Cristiano Ronaldo transfer drama had fans booing during Leeds Festival set

Liam Gallagher had a few words to say about the Cristiano Ronaldo transfer drama during his headline set at Leeds Festival.

The Oasis legend took the stage at Braham Park, before broaching the subject of the Portuguese star's move back to Manchester United.

It was confirmed yesterday that the 36-year-old would not be signing to Manchester City as most expected, instead making a remarkable return to Old Trafford.

Gallagher, a die-hard City fan, told the crowd: "he Manchester lot, you got your f****** pants pulled down today with that one, didn't ya?"

His comments were met with a lot of boos and jeers.

Liam refused to relent, adding: "Right f******* down."

Oh, Liam.

The Manchester Evening News was first to reveal that United were planning a medical for Ronaldo in Lisbon - and that he was set to sign a two-year contract worth £480,000-a-week.

Earlier, the M.E.N. exclusively broke the news that United owners, the Glazer family, had sanctioned a belated move for Ronaldo when he appeared set to join Manchester City.
