Liam Gallagher's son Lennon doesn't want to 'go down the celebrity route'

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher's son Lennon has said he doesn't want to be a celebrity.

Liam shares the 22 year old with actress Patsy Kensit, who he married in 1997 before the couple split in 2000.

Lennon, who has his own band called Automation, has an impressive 139,000 Instagram followers, but interestingly, zero posts.

Speaking to MailOnline he said: "I just don't feel the need to show everyone what I'm doing all the time.

"The band isn't individually focussed on who's in the band. It's more about the band itself, it's about the music.

"The whole idea of celebrity, we're not wanting to go that route."

The musician and model, who is named after Liam's favourite member of the Beatles, said he finds social media "paranoia-inducing".

Lennon, who has appeared in Italian Vogue and at London Fashion Weeks, also spoke about the challenges of the profession he got into aged 16.

He was first spotted on London's Brick Lane and told the publication he sometimes feels "insecure" putting himself up for castings.

His modelling aside, Lennon's dad Liam is said to be impressed with his son's acoustic ensemble, Automation.

“Lennon has that rock god stage presence and has learned the art of performance from his dad," source recently told The Sun.

“Liam is super proud and has listened to his songs - he’s always around to offer advice.”

Lennon’s band released their debut EP ‘In Motion’ earlier this summer and they are gearing up to headline Windmill Brixton on November 7th.

Meanwhile, Liam, who sold out two days at Knebworth Park last week in a matter of hours, has announced two stadium shows in Manchester and Glasgow next June.

The former Oasis frontman will headline a solo show at the Etihad Stadium, home ground of his beloved Manchester City.

Sending his fans into a frenzy the father of four teased the gig before it was officially announced, posting an aerial photo of the stadium on his Twitter account with the words: "C’mon you know LG".

The eagerly-awaited Manchester gig will take place on June 1, 2022, shortly after the release of his fourth album ' C'mon You Know ', which is due for release on May 27.
