Liam Gallagher's personally-designed Adidas trainers are being sold for hundreds of pounds online

If Liam Gallagher fans who still want to get their hands on the star's new Adidas collab may have to fork out more than they initially planned.

The former Oasis frontman has collaborated with the German sportwear brand on a personally-designed, limited edition range of trainers.

But just like those released by the likes of Kanye West, the footwear sold out in within minutes after fans queued for hours before their release date at midnight on Friday, August 29, and managed to crash the brands website.

Priced at £99.95, the white SPZL trainers feature the singers face on the tongue and are based on the Padiham Spzl, a cult trainer among Adidas fans.

Following the successful launch, Liam took to Twitter to say: "Thanx to all my SPZL friends I love and adore you that's SHOEBIZZ."

Though there is no official word if there will be a second release for the popular trainers, those who managed to snap up a pair are now reselling them on eBay for as much as four times their original price.

And fans really weren't happy.

One fumed to Liam himself on Twitter: "Nah Liam they ain't your friends. They'[re all on eBay at ridiculous prices. Genuine people missing out. Hours wasted trying to get them."

"True fans went empty handed and others already selling them on ebay. Have a spare pair, Liam?," questioned another.

A third commented: "Thank you for sitting in a queue for an hour and a half for some mug to sell them for 300 quid on eBay!"

Liam, 46, even took the opportunity to take another swipe at brother Noel.

Replying to a fan who asked: "Reckon Noel bought a pair?," he said: "There too cool for him plus we don’t do size 2."

Before the release, Liam announced the collab in a video on his Instagram page - and in typical sweary fashion.

After being handed a pair for himself, the solo star said: "That is f****** smart though innit," before describing himself as the 'Best looking motherf***** on the p-lanet' and the new Adidas as the 'Best looking f******  trainers on the planet'."
