Liam Gallagher has delivered a brutal verdict on Harry Kane’s failed transfer to Manchester City after the striker made a shock U-turn.
Kane had demanded a departure from Tottenham at the start of the summer transfer window, but a prospective move to City stalled over his hefty price tag.
With three years remaining on his contract, Spurs had slapped a £150million valuation on the England captain, a price City were unwilling to meet.
The highest offer City got to was a £75m up-front, with £25m in add-ons, deal at the start of the window that Spurs rejected out of hand.

Kane did everything he could to push through a deal, but the lengthy nature of his contract ultimately saw the move fail.
The England captain announced on Wednesday that he would be staying at Spurs this summer as well as hailing the club’s fans.
“It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I've had in the last few weeks,” he said in a statement.
“I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success.”
Gallagher, who is one of City’s most famous fans, was left surprisingly delighted that Kane would not be moving to the Etihad Stadium.
“Nothing against Harold Kane but I’m glad he’s not coming to MCFC as you were,” the former Oasis frontman tweeted.
Gallagher continued to question the logic of City’s pursuit of Kane and even suggested that he would not be a regular member of Pep Guardiola’s starting line-up.
The singer also referenced the fact that City had been able to win the Premier League last season, even without playing a main striker for much of the campaign.

“Listen I’m sure if we’d have signed him he’d have got a game every now again just think he’s better of where he is MCFC CHAMPIONS,” Gallagher added.
It is unlikely that Guardiola will agree with Kane, with the Spaniard having made signing a new striker one of his top priorities for the summer window.
Though they coped fine with Ferran Torres and Gabriel Jesus in their hammering of Norwich, the defeat to Spurs on the opening day highlighted their need for a lead man.
Kane had been their top target to fill that role, with the 28-year-old having won the Premier League’s golden boot last season.
But now Gallagher’s wish has been granted, with Kane set to stay at Tottenham for at least the first half of the season.
City have been left scrambling to find other options, with less than a week left until the transfer window closes.
So far, they have only signed Jack Grealish, with that being for a British record transfer fee of £100m, with the reigning champions having to move quickly if they are to fulfil Guardiola’s desire for a striker.
