Liam Gallagher’s back and mouthing off at Blur and fans

Ageing 20th century crooner Liam Gallagher, 51, maintains the crown as the UK’s King of Dim. With a new album out, Liam’s inane ramblings have broken out of their usual Twitter quarantine and into the pages of the music press. To promote his self-proclaimed “f*cking top record” Gallagher in an interview with the NME, decided to hurl punches at his fans and fellow musicians. Responding to claims that his gigs were too short he said audiences should stop complaining and “count themselves lucky” to be in his presence.

Graceless Gallagher describes himself in his twitter bio as a “godlike rasta icon legend” so it comes as no surprise that he thinks fans should be well and truly satisfied with a 45- minute opportunity to bask in his divine glow. This week marks the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ debut single Supersonic, written by his brother Noel, who has mellowed much more in his later years. Liam wrote on X this week that a reunion is not on the cards despite the anniversary: “I’ve never mentioned [an] Oasis reunion it’s over we must all really move [on] for our own mental health.”

Damon Albarn (PA)

Perhaps under the influence of nostalgia, godlike Gallagher decided to reignite his feud with his ancient rivals Blur this morning. In a barrage of unprovoked playground insults he called the band “Turdos” and lead singer Damon Albarn a “spunkbubble” on X. Gallagher and collaborator John Squire just released an LP inventively titled “Liam Gallagher John Squire” and recently finished touring.
