Liam Gallagher pleads for injured fan's details and begs gig goers to ditch flares

Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher has reached out to a woman who was scarred for life at his concert.

Stacey Andrew was horrifically burnt after a fan threw a flare in the FlyDSA Arena in Sheffield.

She had been watching Liam perform when her shirt went up in flames, and she fled in just her bra.

Stacey he suffered severe burns across her chest and arms as well as damage to her hair.

The 27-year-old's enraged brother Leon vowed to get justice and pleaded for help in hunting down the "scumbag" who threw the flare as he "needs to pay for what he has done".

Liam has now tweeted urging his fans to stop using flares.

"I’m sorry to hear what happened to Stacey Andrew in Sheffield the other night it’s not cool", he said.

"People need to chill the f**k out with the flares", he added.

He then requested: "Can someone from her family get in contact with us thanx LG x".

It's not yet known what he plans to offer Stacey.

Replies to the tweet agreed, and one said: "This new trend of bringing flares to INDOOR gigs is ridiculous.

"I’m all for having an ace time and getting involved at a show, but bringing what’s essentially an explosive into a packed arena thinking you’re billy big b******s, nah thanks.

Another said she also ended up in a dangerous situation at the gig.

"Some proper k**bheads at gigs these days unfortunately, some p****d woman started trying to fight my 12 year old sister that night. Thanks for addressing these kind of things!!", she wrote.

Stacey, of Boston, Lincolnshire, was near the front of the stage when she was struck by the lit projectile, which ignited her clothing and burned her skin underneath.

She was rushed from the venue, the FlyDSA Arena in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

Stacey told the BBC: "The flare hit my head and fell down my top, at first I didn't realise what had happened until people shouted.

"It looks like someone let a firework off on my chest."
