Liam Gallagher offered role in Peaky Blinders as boss eyes him up

Under that flat cap, Liam Gallagher looks a bit Peaky...

And THAT’S why he’s still on course to get a role alongside the Blinders.

After Liam rumoured himself for a cameo in his favourite BBC series, Peaky Blinders, screenwriter Steven Knight confirmed he could make room for the Oasis frontman seeing as he wears their trademark outfits so well.

“I don’t believe in getting people just for the sake of it,” he started, before adding: “But he’s great, he is completely of the PB world, he’s an outlaw and he looks good in the gear.

“He’d fit in well with the Shelbys they’d love him.”

And even though Steven isn't that keen on writing roles for rock stars, he also wants to find room for Brummie Mike Skinner of the Streets - who appeared alongside Liam at this weekend's Legitimate Peaky Blinders Festival in the city itself.

“I've always wanted to get as many Brummies in as possible,” adds Steve.

Liam appeared as a trade off for the screenwriter scripting his latest video - a lament about his relationship with brother Noel.

The rocker and his sons Gene and Lennon went to see Primal Scream together, with the younger generation of Gallaghers making pals with the younger Peakies, including Finn Cole (who plays Michael), Harry Kirton (who plays Finn) and director Anthony Byrne.

The Shelbys could have competition coming...
