Liam Gallagher new album: Ex-Oasis star announces release date for 'Why Me? Why Not'

Liam Gallagher has announced the release date of his upcoming album, Why Me? Why Not.

In an Instagram post, the former Oasis frontman has confirmed that his new record will be out from 20 September.

He gave fans a taste of the new album by playing a new track – “Shockwave” – at an intimate London gig last week.

At the premiere for his new documentary As It Was, Gallagher told Sky News that he wanted to break his brother and ex-bandmate Noel’s jaw, after a refusal for use of numerous Oasis tracks in the new film.

“It doesn’t make me sad, it makes me f***ing mad,” he said. “I’m not a p***k, I’m not sad about it, I want to break his f***ing jaw and his daft f***ing manager, but that’s what happens.”

He continued, “I’m not sad about it, I didn’t go home and cry, I just wanted to go and f***ing put their windows through.”

He also added that his “bags were packed” should there ever be an Oasis reunion.

Pre-release orders for Why Me? Why Not are already available on Liam’s official website.
