Liam Gallagher has shared his sorrow after the death of his beloved dog Ruby.
The former Oasis singer, 48, took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce the sad news that he had lost "his little girl".
Alongside a snap of the Wonderwall hitmaker planting a kiss on the adorable miniature dachshund, Liam admitted that he was "absolutely gutted’"
"Just lost this little girl tonight absolutely gutted RIP RUBY aka SPARKLE x," the heartbroken musician penned.
After announcing his sad loss, Liam was showered with comfort from loving fans who said they "felt his pain".
One admirer penned: "Losing a pet is like losing a loved one. It’s never easy. I feel your pain."

"So sorry for your loss Liam. She was a little beauty," another comforted.
While a third shared: "No doubt she had a wonderful little life with you. Bless Ruby."
Liam previously opened up about his pet pooch Ruby during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.

The Oasis front man left the audience in hysterics when he recalled Ruby’s mischievous antics during a walk on Hampstead Heath.
"I have two sausage dogs," he explained.
"One called Ruby, and one called Bridget. We sometimes call Ruby Sparkle, and I used to live in Hampstead Heath.

"I'd have to take her out on the Heath and she would get lost in the bushes. And then I’m stood in the bushes going ‘Sparkle’.
"So, after a lot of odd looks, I had to change her name to Ruby."
