The Oasis front man left the audience in hysterics when he recalled Ruby’s mischievous antics during a walk on Hampstead Heath.

"I have two sausage dogs," he explained.

"One called Ruby, and one called Bridget. We sometimes call Ruby Sparkle, and I used to live in Hampstead Heath.

"I'd have to take her out on the Heath and she would get lost in the bushes. And then I’m stood in the bushes going ‘Sparkle’.

"So, after a lot of odd looks, I had to change her name to Ruby."
