Liam Gallagher has slammed members of the UEFA board following Manchester City's two-year ban European ban.
There was shock all around the footballing world on Friday as it was announced that City would not be allowed to participate in the Champions League or Europa League for the next two seasons.
UEFA handed down the ban, declaring City had breached financial fair play rules by falsely inflating the value of sponsorship deals.
City refused to roll with it, however, and have appealed against the ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
But outspoken Oasis and Beady Eye star Gallagher took aim at five members of UEFA on Twitter.
He attached the names of Andrea Agnelli (UEFA Executive Committee), David Gil (UEFA Treasurer), Nassel al Khalefi (UEFA Exective Board), Jacobo Beltran (UEFA Financial Control Body) and Rick Parry (UEFA investigatory panel of club financial fair play) and wrote the caption: "P*** flap brigade."
Fans reacted with amusement to the tweet, but one called on Gallagher to “practice what u preach my dear… Be Kind xxx”
He responded “This is me being kind I can be a lot worse”.
Gallagher has supported City all his life, and is a regular at the Etihad Stadium for games.
One of those slammed by Gallagher, Parry, served as Liverpool's CEO from 1998-2009, while Gil is former chief executive of Manchester United , suggesting that Gallagher has particularly targeted those who have an affinity with City's rivals.
If the ban is upheld City may not be free to do whatever they choose in the transfer window, with worries that they could lose star players such as Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne as well as their manager Pep Guardiola.
Some might say they will have a battle on their hands to attract further talent to the club, too, although Guardiola recently insisted he will not be going anywhere in the near future .
