Liam Gallagher at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena - stage times, likely set list, security checks and a message to fans

It is 25 years since Liam Gallagher first set foot on stage in Nottingham. That was at Rock City with Oasis in 1994, just as the Manchester four were about to become the biggest band in Britain.

They would be back at the Talbot Street venue two years later in 1996, before upgrading to the arena for two shows in November 2002.

They did it again in February 2006, a show that had caused eager beavers hoping to nab a ticket to queue outside the arena in their droves. There was even tea and coffee trollies to warm fans up.

After Oasis split in 2009, Gallagher brought his new project Beady Eye to Rock City in 2011.

It was under his own name that he would be back at Nottingham Arena in 2017 when he would play 11 Oasis songs - .  .

His latest appearance in the city is tonight at the Motorpoint Arena on his second solo tour, named after his second No. 1 album, Why Me? Why Not?

So how many Oasis songs will he be fitting into the set? And are there any tickets still available?

There were no clues in the latest tweet to his 3.2 million followers, saying simply: "Nottingham Nottingham Nottingham c’mon you know LG x"

If you are going along tonight, be aware that security staff at the Motorpoint Arena will be searching bags outside the venue, then conducting a wand body search as you enter the venue. They advise not to bring bags if possible. No rucksacks or bags larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm will be permitted. Lockers will not be available for use.
