Liam Gallagher at Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage: setlist and review

Rock legend Liam Gallagher combined his solo work with crowd-pleasing Oasis classics for a memorable and hugely enjoyable performance at Glastonbury.

Taking to the Pyramid Stage in a hoodie and no parka, Gallagher began the show in style with Oasis classic Rock 'n' Roll Star.

It got the crowd going immediately, with thousands of people singing along and smoke from red flares drifting across the front of the stage.

Gallagher then turned his attention to his solo work, starting with 2017's Wall of Glass as well as Greedy Soul.

Shockwave, the lead single for Gallagher's forthcoming second solo studio album Why Me? Why Not, was also performed with the swagger and confidence you'd expect from the former Oasis frontman.

The performance was perhaps surprisingly without any major controversial moments, aside from when Liam declared "Apparently this is shit as well" before playing Oasis' most well-known song Wonderwall.

Brother Noel has previously said he does not "particularly like" the iconic song.

Gallagher also used his second Glastonbury performance to dedicate songs to Michael Eavis and Emily Eavis as well as Sir Ken Dodd and late Prodigy frontman Keith Flint.

Like as it started, Gallagher finished the set with another Oasis classic - Champagne Supernova. The other Oasis big hitters - Wonderwall and Supersonic - were no doubt the high point of the evening for many.

Before Shockwave, Gallagher hinted that he may be back at the festival next year, saying: "Thank you for letting me continue my Glastonbury residency.

"Next year will be my hat-trick."

After tonight's performance, we can only hope that's true.
