Liam Gallagher has alleged that brother Noel has thretened legal action against him if he uses footage of Oasis in a new music documentary.
The musician tweeted: “I’ve just been informed that I’ll be sued by the not so mighty little fella and his goons at [management company] Ignition if I use any footage of me singing oasis yes oasis songs in As It Was. Who’s bitter now eh”.
The Independent reached out to Noel Gallager, but a representative for the singer said he would not be making a comment on the accusation.
As It Was, which Liam has said is about his “musical comeback”, will be directed by Charlie Lightening, who has previous experience documenting the tours of several musicians, including Paul McCartney.
“It covers the writing and recording of my first solo album, right through to playing it live for the very first time in my hometown of Manchester and around the world,” Gallagher said after the documentary was announced in May 2018.
The title is derived from Liam’s debut solo album, As You Were, which was released in October 2017.
