Liam Cooper has broken his silence after the Leeds United captain was sent off in the 2-1 win over Manchester City.
The Whites shocked the runaway Premier League leaders with a 2-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium thanks to a Stuart Dallas double.
The win is made even more impressive when you take into consideration that the visitors had to play the whole of the second-half with 10 men following Cooper 's red card.
The Scotland centre-back was initially given a yellow card from referee Andre Marriner following a challenge on Gabriel Jesus.
However, after being told by the VAR to consult the pitch side monitor, Marriner then changed the yellow card to a red one, much to the disbelief of Cooper and his Leeds team-mates.
The 29-year-old has now taken to his Twitter page to break his silence. Cooper lauded his team-mates, who managed to edge Man City against all odds.
Cooper first tweeted saying: "It is what it is! But make sure you F****N keep us down because boy are we coming back. Get that into you!!!!! My brothers are animals! MOT (blue love heart emoji)."
He then quoted tweeted a fan saying "it was never a red" and said: "Should have seen me in the dressing room! Racing lunatic (laughing emojis)."
Finally, the Leeds skipper quoted tweeted another user who said: "Never want to hear 'Leeds will burnout' ever again', and Cooper replied saying: "It's a myth (laughing emoij)."
The Whites' win in Manchester is arguably their most impressive victory since returning to the top-flight this season, especially given the difficult circumstances with more than a half being played with 10 men.
Marcelo Bielsa's team now have more than a week to prepare for next Monday's clash with Liverpool at Elland Road, before another home game against Manchester United the following weekend.
