Liam Byrne's lavish Dublin home racks up thousands of views online

The lavish home seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) from Kinahan mobster Liam Byrne has been viewed thousands of times on its online advert.

The renovated house in Raleigh Square, Crumlin in Dublin, which was once valued at over €1m, now has a price tag of €400,000.

The property went on sale by private treaty at the end of May and remains for sale, its online advert states.

The advert also shows the property ad has already been viewed a massive 27,250 times. Many other properties for sale in the same area have only been viewed online several hundreds of times.

Number 2 Raleigh Square - a three-bed, two-storey house with a garage - was confiscated by the CAB from Byrne, 40, in 2019 as part of a major operation clamping down on his gang’s assets.

Most of the expensive fixtures and fittings were removed before the property was handed over to the CAB.

The house was registered to Byrne's sister Maria Byrne but her brother lived there and had been paying rent through his car business LS Active Car Sales.

The upgrades to the mobster’s home included a panic room, heavily fortified walls, and a Jacuzzi that meant the property was valued at over €1m.

Byrne was named by gardai in court as being at the head of a major criminal organisation - dubbed the ‘Byrne Organised Crime Group’ - of which his family completely benefited from his criminal activity.

The gangster’s brother David Byrne was also shot dead in Dublin’s Regency Hotel in February 2016 - a brutal murder that greatly escalated the Kinahan-Hutch feud.
