Former Celtic and Rangers midfielder Liam Burt is at Pittodrie for Aberdeen’s Premiership clash with Hamilton this evening as he continues his hunt for a club.
The 21-year-old is in attendance as a guest of Aberdeen after leaving the Hoops in the summer.
Burt had been training with Barnsley last month - scoring three times in friendlies against Sheffield Wednesday and Derby - but The Tykes decided against a deal. He also had a short stint on trial at Sunderland.
He left Celtic midway through a two-year deal after struggling to push his way into Neil Lennon ’s first team.
Burt returned to his boyhood club last summer after three years with Rangers where he featured three times for the top team under Mark Warburton.
The five-times capped Scotland Under 21 international is available outwith the transfer window as he is a free agent.
