Former Celtic and Rangers midfielder Liam Burt is set to relaunch his career with League of Ireland hopefuls Bohemians.
The 21-year-old has been without a club since leaving the Hoops in the summer.
Burt had trial spells with Barnsley and Sunderland after exiting Lennoxtown but failed to win a deal.
Now the five-times capped Scotland U21 international will head across the Irish Sea this week looking to kick-start his career in Dublin with the Bohs with the League of Ireland season set to start at the end of February.
Keith Long’s side finished second in the table last season behind champions Shamrock Rovers and will enter the new Europa Conference League at the first qualifying stage.
Burt left Celtic midway through a two-year deal after struggling to push his way into Neil Lennon’s first team.
He had returned to his boyhood club last summer after three years with Rangers where he featured three times for the top team under Mark Warburton.
After leaving Celtic last summer Burt admitted: “It's hard to break into a team with players like Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie who are playing in the Champions League.
"It was a privilege to play for both clubs and I learned a lot from both."
