Liam Buckley admits sixth-placed Sligo Rovers are at a crossroads in their season

Liam Buckley admits sixth-placed Sligo Rovers are at a crossroads in their season.

But he is backing his players to figure it out and take the right road as they gear up for Bohemians tonight.

Reeling after a 3-0 defeat to Derry City last week, Buckley said yesterday: “We could go both ways in the table, up or down.

“We didn’t perform well enough last week but we’ve shown previously we can get to a much better level.

“There’s a lot left for us in the season but our league position is up in the air, so I’d expect the group to be thinking about our future and theirs.”

And sizing up the Gypsies, Buckley added: “We’ve gone to Bohs and won and they did it here. I don’t think there’s much between any side outside the top two.”

Ronan Murray (calf) and Johnny Dunleavy (knee) are doubtful. Niall Morahan returns from international duty while new signing Niall Watson has received clearance.

Bohs skipper Derek Pender and Danny Mandroiu return from suspension but Pender will start an additional three-game ban next week.

Dinny Corcoran (ankle) and Cristian Magerusan (cruciate) remain out. New striker Andre Wright could feature after he secured international clearance.
