Liam Boyce being linked with return to Scottish Premiership

Northern Ireland striker Liam Boyce is being linked with a return to the Scottish Premiership.

The Edinburgh Evening News are reporting that Hearts are one of a number of clubs interested in the Burton Albion man.

Boyce came off the bench to score in Burton's 4-3 in over Bolton Wanderers on New Year's Day.

The Edinburgh Evening News say Boyce - who is reportedly going into the final six months of his current contract - is weighing up his next move and Hearts could make a move this month.

Boyce is known to Jambos coach Austin MacPhee who is also part of Michael O'Neill's Northern Ireland backroom team.

MacPhee will help Hearts boss Daniel Stendel recruit players during the January window.

Boyce impressed during his time with Ross County in the Scottish Premiership.

He finished the 2016/17 season as the Scottish Premiership's top scorer with 23 goals.
