Leyton Orient to lodge FA complaint after Ross Embleton accuses Mark Cooper of making Justin Edinburgh jibe

Leyton Orient were today set to make a complaint to the FA after interim manager Ross Embleton accused Forest Green boss Mark Cooper of making an “unacceptable” comment about the late Justin Edinburgh.

Embleton claims Cooper called him an “imposter” during a touchline row and also said to him: “Who do you think you are, Justin Edinburgh?”

Cooper denies making the comment about Edinburgh, who died at the age of 49 in June after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Embleton, who was Edinburgh’s assistant, was sent off for throwing chewing gum at Cooper as the pair clashed during Orient’s 4-2 home defeat on Saturday.

Embleton said: “I can accept being told I was an imposter. But to follow it up with, ‘who do I think I am, Justin Edinburgh?’ is unacceptable.

“I deservedly got sent off for throwing gum at him. However, it was either that or do something more aggressive.”
