Leyton Orient look for new manager as Ross Embleton decides to revert back to assistant coach role

Leyton Orient are on the hunt for a new head coach after Ross Embleton made the decision to revert to his position of assistant coach.

Embleton was named interim head coach of Orient in the summer following the tragic death of Justin Edinburgh in June and he has since steadied the club through a period of grief.

The 37-year-old has guided Orient, who were promoted to League Two in the summer, to 21st in the table and five points clear of relegation.

However Embleton confirmed this morning he would be stepping down as interim head coach with the club beginning a search for his successor.

“From a personal perspective, after what happened in the summer and the situation that everyone found themselves in, I felt it was the right thing for me to do to step forward and take responsibility,” he said.

“We’ve tried to find some normality in the way that we’ve come to work every day and we’ve started to find that.”
