Lexi Thompson posted a final-round 67 at the ANA Inspiration on Sunday to shoot up the leaderboard but it might not be enough for her to win the first major of the LPGA’s 2019 season.
Thompson got to 6-under for the tournament but missed a chance to get to 8-under after missing an eagle putt on the 18th hole. She then missed the ensuing birdie putt to finish her round.
She finished with seven birdies but also bogeyed two holes.
Jin Young Ko leads at 9-under. She is on the back nine and is looking to extend her lead by three shots over Thompson, My Hyang Lee and In-Kyung Kim.
The round of the day so far belongs to Kristen Gillam and Jane Park, who both shot 66. Moriya Jutanugarn also shot a 67 on Sunday.
