Police have charged a man with murder after a 54-year-old was stabbed to death in his home in south-east London
Daniel Burrell, 39, of no fixed abode was charged on Monday after Barrington Davis was found knifed to death in Lewisham in May.
Officers had forced entry into the premises at 7am after reports from neighbours who said he had not been seen for some time.
Although the death was originally treated as non-suspicious, when the body was moved to the mortuary suspicious injuries were noticed.
A postmortem concluded he had died from multiple stab wounds.
Burrell has been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey Monday, November 11.
