Lewis O'Brien's agent breaks his silence after Leeds United 'interest' in Huddersfield Town star

Lewis O'Brien's agent has rubbished transfer links to Leeds United amid interest in the Huddersfield Town star.

The 22-year-old could be on the move this summer, with Premier League clubs Norwich City, Burnley and Newcastle United all touted as possible destinations.

O’Brien has one year remaining on his contract with the Terriers, leaving the Terriers with a big dilemma over whether to cash in this summer if they can't tie him down to a long-term contract.

Reports from The Sun claimed that Leeds United are interested in acquiring O'Brien as they bid to bolster their midfield this summer, amid concerns over Adam Forshaw's fitness.

However, O'Brien's agent, former Leeds defender Kevin Sharp, has poured cold water on any potential move across West Yorkshire.

“I’m unaware of any interest from Leeds," he told LUFC Fan Zone, who relayed his message on Twitter.

“Many other clubs have expressed an interest in Lewis, but I’ve not heard anything from LUFC.”

Leeds are keen to add a new midfielder to their ranks this summer and have been linked with several options, including Hertha Berlin attacker Matheus Cunha.

The Whites are expected to confirm Junior Firpo as the club's third summer signing in the coming days, having acquired Jack Harrison and Amari Miller last week.
