Lewis Morgan earns glowing Inter Miami review as ex-Celtic star's 'very unique' skill praised

Former Celtic star Lewis Morgan is turning heads Stateside after his fast start to life with Inter Miami.

The MLS side have lost both their games so far but the Scotland international's all-action efforts have earned him a glowing review from the club's official website.

Morgan made the decision to leave the Premiership champions for a fresh start, with an opportunity at David Beckham's franchise proving hard to turn down.

And the ex-St Mirren star's ability to create with both feet has led to Miami waxing lyrical about their star's potential to become a key man after finding opportunities limited with Celtic .

Inter Miami said: "The winger has stood out not only because of his offensive prowess, as his versatility and work rate make him a very useful tool for the team on the pitch. In his first two games in the league, Morgan has put in some work defensively as well, recording one tackle, nine recoveries, three clearances and two interceptions.

"It’s also important to note a very unique trait in Morgan’s skill set as he’s ambidextrous, meaning that he’s able to hit the ball with both feet. It is common to find players who control and pass the ball, but it’s rare to witness a player who can take set-pieces and whip in crosses comfortably with both feet. Although predominantly right-footed, the Scottish player has showcased his abilities to strike the ball with either of his feet during both matches, for example, impressing viewers by taking corners and set-pieces from both wings."

And supporters of the new side are in agreement with their club and are backing hoping to see more from the 22-year-old with many giving their new man the thumbs-up on social media.

And he will hope to be in Scotland manager Steve Clarke's thinking ahead of the Euro 2020 play-off with Israel at the end of this month.
