Lewis Moore pens new Hearts deal as club tie up five players on extended contracts

Lewis Moore has signed a new two-year contract with Hearts.

The winger seized his first team chance under Daniel Stendel last season after first making his top team debut back in 2016 before loan spells with Cowdenbeath, Forfar Atheltic and Falkirk.

He impressed Stendel on his return from Falkirk and featured regularly under the German before the season ground to a halt due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Moore provided the assist for Oliver Bozanic’s Scottish Cup quarter-final winner against Rangers and the Aussie’s stunning second a 3-1 derby win over Hibs at Easter Road.

The Bathgate native now has 26 first team games under his belt for the Jambos.

The wide-man will now stay at Tynecastle until 2022.

Youngster Scott McGill also penned a two-year extension, while Leroy Makovora signed on for an extra year.

Mackenzie Lawler and Jay Sandison have extended their deals until January 2021.

Hearts remain in talks with Jamie Brandon and Euan Henderson about new contracts.
