Lewis Hamilton is now feeding his bulldog Roscoe a fully vegan diet

Lewis Hamilton has revealed his dog is now “fully vegan” - like him.

The Formula One ace said of his bulldog Roscoe: “His coat is much softer, his swollen paws have healed up, he is no longer limping with pain of arthritis and his breathing has opened up.”

Lewis regularly gives fans updates about his dog, who has his own social media channel.

Roscoe is often seen by Hamilton’s side on red carpets and in the F1 paddock.

He added of his dog’s new vegan diet: “Super happy with the result and he is too.”

Hamilton has previously said how adopting a vegan diet is the “only way to truly save our planet”.

The motoring star described the world as a “messed up place” with leaders who are “either uneducated or don’t care about the environment at all”.

He added: “Going vegan “can be done so quickly...all you have to do is put your mind to it.”

Addressing the future of the Earth, he said human extinction is becoming “more and more likely as we overuse our resources”.

The 35-year-old, who has sold his private jet, said that “agriculture farming” was the biggest pollutant, and the meat and dairy industry led to “deforestation, animal cruelty”, and “our seas and climate decaying on a daily basis”.

Hamilton told recently how his other bulldog – called Coco - died in his arms after having a heart attack at home.

He was left devastated as he tried to revive her but “her little heart gave in”.

Taking to Instagram, he told his 16.8 million followers: “Last night at around 9pm, my beautiful little girl Coco died at home with the family by her side.

“Her little heart gave in, we think it was a heart attack.

“I tried to revive her but it was no use.”

Lewis took comfort in the fact that Coco “had the best day” and was “happier than I’d seen her in a long time” before her sudden death.
