Lewis Grabban confident he can steer Nottingham Forest out of relegation zone

Nottingham Forest captain Lewis Grabban has revealed that criticism does not affect him as he focuses on helping his team to be successful.

Grabban was speaking to NottinghamshireLive ahead of Saturday's game against Millwall at the City Ground.

“Obviously there’s people who criticise you, which talking about the whole social media criticism the other day and to me, a couple of hundred people out of I don’t know, 25,000/30,000, it’s so minor.

"But obviously when you’re criticising and it seems like they have the loudest voice, I’m not fussed at all about maybe what people would say."

The 33-year-old striker is solely focussed on helping his team to 'turn the season around.'

Grabban added: "I know what I’m still capable of doing and I feel good at the moment so, hopefully we can turn the season around and start moving up the table."

Forest claimed their first victory of the Championship campaign in a 2-0 away win at Huddersfield Town last weekend.

Grabban scored the first before Terriers goalkeeper Lee Nicholls doubled the visitors' lead through an own goal.

“Last game I felt good," Grabban continued. "Training felt good. Last season was tough on many fronts but the main thing for me, while it doesn’t bother me, I was injured half of the season so I wasn’t available for the large part of it anyway.

"One of my main goals is to be available for selection as much as possible, and I don’t see why I can’t copy seasons I’ve had previously. You never know, it’s still early in the season."
