Lewis Capaldi buys Build-a-Bear and gives it filthy Scots name

Lewis Capaldi visited Build-a-Bear yesterday to buy a cuddly toy - but when it came to picking what to call his bear, he came up with most unusual name.

The Scots singer went on a little shopping trip with his pals yesterday to Silverburn, which seen him make a pit stop at the bear making workshop, where you can personalise a stuffed toy to your desires.

The 24-year-old splashed out over £30 on the bear, and shared with his Instagram followers the 'birth' of his Darth Vader bear, which he named 'Sh*gger'.

Lewis also opted for the bear to play a sound when you press it and went for the tune Riptide by Vance Joy.

And many of his fans tweeted about Lewis' bear.

One said: "The fact that a 24 year-old MAN walks into BUILD A BEAR and gets a DARTH VADER BEAR and affectionately names him SH*GGER is the best thing on the internet RN.

"You are super awesome @LewisCapaldi."

While another wrote: "Lewis Capaldi went to build a bear and got a star wars bear that plays riptide when you press its paw and I kid you not that's the highlight of my weekend."

And one commented: "Lewis Capaldi getting a build a bear on his Instagram story is the wholesome content I needed."

And finally one wrote: "Of course Lewis Capaldi has called his build-a-bear Sh*gger, course he has."

Just last week, the singer had his fans in stitches once again as he compared himself to one of the animations in the new John Lewis Christmas advert.

In a scene near the finale featuring an animated character who bears a striking resemblance to Bathgate-born Lewis that caught the Someone You Loved hitmaker's eye.

He took to Twitter to say: "So pleased to have been a part of the new John Lewis Christmas advert."

Lewis is famous for his self-deprecating sense of humour so his latest gag comes as no surprise.

It's a bit of light-hearted relief from the raft of emotional Christmas commercials we're all set to be bombarded with as the festive season draws ever near.
