Lewis Capaldi to play with live orchestra at Croxteth Park – and here's how to get tickets

Lewis Capaldi will perform a huge open-air concert in Liverpool this summer.

The Hold Me While You Wait singer will head to Croxteth Park for a one-off show for BBC Radio 1 on Monday, August 5.

The star took to Twitter to make the announcement himself, saying he is “so buzzing for this”.

He said: "Playing the album live with an orchestra for @BBCR1.

"Honestly so buzzin for this!! show is in Liverpool in August!! tickets have just gone on-sale & are available right here.

"Be quick ma sens!"

The show will see Capaldi perform his hugely successful debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, with a full live orchestra.

It follows his Glastonbury performance which saw him take to the festival's 'Other Stage' where he performed to thousands of fans.

The show takes place following a huge weekend at Croxteth Park for the BBC Summer Social , which will see Pixie Lott, Busted and John Newman perform.

Tickets are already on sale via Ticketmaster and start from £22.
