Lewis Capaldi surprises fans at cafe as he turns up to try breakfast named after him

Scottish singing sensation Lewis Capaldi surprised the regulars at his local cafe this morning as he turned up to sample their now-legendary CapAllDay Breakfast.

Andy’s Coffee House honoured the 'Someone You Loved' singer with the breakfast in his hometown of  Whitburn , West Lothian.

The cafe is serving the special £5 deal - including McCain Potato Smiles, which Capaldi once hilariously compared to his own face, and a Capalccino - to celebrate the release of the local hero's eagerly anticipated first album.

Saturday has been declared ‘Lewis CapalDay’ in the cafe and it is expected to be packed with fans.

His debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent , released today, could become the biggest-selling UK album of 2019.

Lewis Capaldi 'bewildered' by his success and wants it to stay that way

The singer, who is a big hit on social media with his madcap antics, this week declared himself the 'Scottish Beyonce' .

The crooner was also given the Duke of Wellington treatment when a mask of his face was spotted on the famous statue in Glasgow.

Capaldi, who had earlier been signing copies of his new album at Assai Records in Edinbugh, recently sold out two nights at the Hydro as well as his O2 Academy dates.

He headlines Perth Festival of the Arts on Saturday.
