Lewis Capaldi superfan buys rare digital card for £76k giving owner lifetime gig access

A mystery Lewis Capaldi superfan bid a whopping £76,000 for his collectable Red Card granting the owner free access to all his future gigs.

The rare collectable, known as a Non Fungible Token, is a one of a kind digital asset that can be bought and sold like property online.

NTFs are unique digital files that do not have a physical existence.

The Someone You Loved hitmaker Lewis recently released a collection of the virtual cards that held value of different VIP treatments.

Lewis Capaldi Red card goes for whopping amount (Traff/Open Sea)

A percentage of the sales proceeds will go towards Nordoff Robbins, his chosen charity partner.

The Red Card, purchased by the mystery bidder, features a hand drawn portrait by Lewis and offers the owner VIP benefits including a space for life on the guest list for them and one other person.

The unknown buyer, known only as ‘Traff’ bought the card in the cryptocurrency Ethereum.

The singer also promised to send the buyer of ‘The Red Big Fat Sexy Card’ some dates to come down to the studio and join him while he’s recording.

The card is now available to purchase on trading site Opensea for any fans who felt like they missed out - and have a big bank balance.
