West Lothian native Lewis Capaldi has scored his second UK number one single with his new tune "Before You Go".
Christmas came early for fans after the singer confirmed that he was dropping the brand new single in November.
The song is one of his most personal songs yet, written about his aunt's suicide when he was a child.
In a hilarious clip for OfficialCharts.com, he said: "Obviously becoming Number 1 is absolutely everything to me and I would be disgusted if I had the Number 2 spot, it would be gross, so yeah I’m so glad I’m not that guy, and if I did I don’t know what I would do, I would probably go home, cry into my hands and just have an awful, awful time, so thank you so much."
His debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, has spent eight weeks in total at number one spot, with sales now fast approaching three quarters of a million copies.
The Someone You Loved singer has already cracked America when he became the first UK artist to top the US chart with a single from their debut album since Leona Lewis in 2008.
The award nominations don’t stop there either, as this year’s BRITs saw Lewis leading the way with four nominations including: Song Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Male Solo Artist and Best New Artist.
After a year of sold-out headline shows, March will see the singer step up to a headline arena shows across the UK - but sadly none are in Edinburgh...yet.
However, the tour does include two nights at Glasgow's The SSE Hydro and TRNSMT Festival this summer.
