Lewis Capaldi says he suffered panic attack at this year's Grammy Awards

Lewis Capaldi has said he had a panic attack during this year’s Grammy Awards in a new interview.

The singer, who recently won two Brit Awards, was invited to the music ceremony in Los Angeles after his track “Someone You Loved” was nominated for Song of the Year.

However, before the January event began, he could be seen shifting uncomfortably as he was interviewed by Sharon Osbourne on the red carpet.

He also commented on his image after spotting himself on screen, stating: “Oh dear, I don’t look very good, do I?”

“I was having a panic attack the entire time,” Capaldi told The Independent.

He added that he found he could relax after the trophy went to Billie Eilish for “Bad Guy”, as he “knew I wouldn’t have to say anything to anybody”.

“Then it was OK,” he said.

Capaldi revealed that he suffered another panic attack on the flight home from LA, saying: “After that I was quite anxious – but overall I’m feeling very good.”
