Lewis Capaldi's fantasy finally comes true as fan throws bra on stage

There is a theory made famous by the great philosopher Noel Edmonds which suggests that to get what you want in life, all you have to do is ask for it.

But there hasn’t been that much conclusive proof that Cosmic Ordering works... until now.

And we are so happy to have played our part.

Before Glastonbury, we spoke to singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi.

He had been at the top of the charts for seven weeks and had the biggest-selling single of the year but there was still something missing – women throwing their bras and knickers at him while he was on stage, a la Tom Jones.

Lewis said, “No underwear, absolutely not. It’s mental.

“It’s disappointing. It’s not been the frenzy that I had imagined.”

So there was his wish, clearly put out into the universe. And lo, at Kew The Music 2019, it came to pass. In undeniable evidence that dreams can indeed come true, someone threw a bra at him.

“What’s this?” Lewis exclaimed. “Lovely! I mean for the size of this there’s a woman out there who is gonna have some significant back pain but thank you. Wherever you are. It’s your fault. I’ll put this on and dance around the bedroom later.”

No, thank you, Lewis, for that unshakable mental image.

And anyone going to see Mr Capaldi live any time soon, you know what to do. Bring pants.
